Turns out that the Nature Conservancy is in bed with BP and many other of the worlds greatest polluters. But wait...so are many of the other major alleged environmental organizations such as the Audubon Society and the Sierra Club. This is kind of like women's rights groups taking money from the Ted Bundy foundation.
What this does is allow some of the worlds most horrific polluters to have legitimacy in the eyes of some of the allegedly most environmental protective agencies. It gives the polluters legitimacy. BP can say..."See, we're green. We're concerned about the planet."
Now they have released the balrog and the environmental organizations are worried about their horrifically sullied reputations since they sleep with some of the most horrific polluters in order to save the world for us.

I still remember when the Seirra Club wanted to define illegal immigrants as "toxic waste".
ReplyDeleteIt took a national vote inside the organization to defeat that motion and it only won by a few percentage points.
Almost half of its membership thought illegal immigrants had toxic effects on American environmentalism.
What a joke.
