Ed Edmo to Join Us on Tillicum Wawa, 12-23-10

On Thursday, December 23, "Tillicum Wawa: Voices of the People," will be interviewing local story teller Ed Edmo. We will discuss Ed's life, story telling, and maybe even get him to tell a story or two. Ed is also a poet, so I plan on requesting him to read a poem on the air.

"Tillicum Wawa: Voices of the People," is Vicki "Redwillow" Creel, Rhonda "Shusli" Baseler, and Eugene Johnson. Tillicum Wawa is a weekly Native American program that plans on bringing you the voices of the indigenous peoples to create connection between indigenous communities and to help non-indigenous communities to understand and connect with us as well. We air every Thursday from 6-7pm on KBOO, 90.7fm in Portland, Oregon. KBOO can also be heard at kboo.fm by clicking "listen now" in the upper right hand corner. Tillicum Wawa also podcasts and blogs on KBOO's website. Our latest program, a discussion of Wounded Knee, Yontocket, the Cherokee Trail of Tears, and a bit of getting to know the producers who tell their stories, can be heard by clicking here.

Thank you!
